We live today in an era of ammunition, one that idealizes the past, but has an uncertain future in terms of small arms and ammunition development. Some think that the golden days of our armed tradition are long past, but I beg to differ. Most of these were likely never expected to live into our modern age by their designers and those who originally adopted them.
